About me
Hello, I'm Lisa.
I established VA-VOS in 2019 to provide premium Virtual Assistant & Virtual Office Support. Working remotely from my home office in the gorgeous spa town of Harrogate, my goal is to give business owners the dedicated, seamless administrative backing they need to focus on what they do best.
I started my career in retail management, before buying a Children's Nursery School in 1995.
In 2008, I needed a new challenge & so closed the Nursery & accepted a 6 month contract as Practice Manager/Personal Assistant to a partner of a well-known Wealth Management Group. Although the contract was for 6 months, I completed the project in just 3. This is when I realized that my organisational skills & can-do attitude, coupled with my vast experience could be of assistance to Business Owners & Entrepreneurs alike.
In late 2008, I joined an import company at its start-up stage as PA to the director. I was instrumental in coordinating operations during a period of massive, rapid business growth. During my 11 years with this company, several other businesses were formed under our umbrella, including: a property development firm which led to a residential and commercial property letting company with an ever-increasing portfolio, a consultancy firm, a car servicing & MOT garage, & an exciting toy range.
I have experience of Sole Traders, Partnerships, Limited Liability Partnerships & Limited Companies, both VAT and Non-VAT registered.
My qualifications include, but are not limited to: Sage 50c (stage 1-3), Xero Advisor Certification inc. Payroll, ICB Bookkeeping level 2, Quickbooks, Klipboard - (previously Autoworks online/MAM), ECDL & a Diploma in Health & Social Welfare.
I am registered with: The Institute of Certified Bookkeepers, The Society for Virtual Assistants & the ICO for data protection (ZA5628688).
I also have professional indemnity insurance with PolicyBee.
